HSA 65 Recalled
STIHL Recalls HSA 65 Cordless Lithium-Ion Hedge Trimmer
STIHL is recalling the HSA 65 cordless Lithium-Ion hedge trimmer.
In rare cases, an electronic malfunction can occur in this product. As a result, the malfunction can lead in certain circumstances to a situation where the product starts with only pressing one of the switch devises - the switch on the operating handle, or on the loop handle. In addition, the malfunction can, in rare instances, cause the blades to continuing moving after the trigger is released. These conditions create a risk of injury.
Owners of a HSA 65 Lithium-Ion hedge trimmer are requested to no longer operate the product and consult their local STIHL Dealer. STIHL will, via the STIHL Dealer, exchange all operable hedge trimmers for the successor model, the HSA 66, free of charge.
Batteries and battery chargers, however, will not be exchanged as these can be used with the HSA 66.
This is a precautionary recall taken by STIHL.
